Digital Camera Photo

While the popularity of digital cameras has exploded, it is still fairly uncommon actually print a digital camera photo. Most people will still look at a digital camera photo only on the screen of the camera or on their computer. The reasons for this are numerous. First, people are generally lazy and do not want to spend the time to print a digital camera photo. Second, the quality of a printed digital camera photo is usually less than of a regular camera, unless you are using a digital camera with high resolution. As well, people who just spent a significant amount of money on a digital camera may not yet want to spend any more cash printing a digital camera photo. There are pros and cons to not always printing your digital camera photo.

In some instances, I think it is a shame that more people do not print their digital camera photo. Many people have a beautiful digital camera photo that will never be displayed because it has never been printed. Conversely, there are probably a lot of photos that do not warrant being printed. One reason to print a digital camera photo is that having a hard copy is a way of ensuring that the picture will not be ruined. I have too many friends that have lost photos they were saving on their computers to technical problems. Even if you backup a digital camera photo to a CD, there is still the risk that the CD could get scratched, making it impossible to access those photos again. I think that as digital cameras and become more advanced, and home printers become better designed to print a digital camera photo that more pictures will actually be printed.
