X Box 2

I am far from being a video game enthusiast. Other than solitaire and hearts on my computer, I have no video game gear in my home. That being said, I do thoroughly enjoy playing video games and will do so at my friends’ houses whenever I get the chance. Most of my video gaming friends have different consoles, which has given me the chance to test out several different systems, of which my favorite has by far been X Box 2. The reasons for my preference of X Box 2 are numerous. First and foremost, I find that X Box 2 offers the best games. When Sony or Nintendo releases a game that can legitimately compete with Halo 2, I may reconsider this statement. The release of Halo 2 was more anticipated than the release of most new consoles! Additionally, I have found that the interface of X Box 2, namely their controller, is far superior for both utility and ergonomics. To add to this advantage, Microsoft recently released a new joystick that is designed for X Box 2 but is also compatible with many other applications including your computer and your iPod.

Looking forward, I am anxiously awaiting the release of PlayStation 3. While I am unlikely to buy a system of my own, I have no doubt that one of my friends will have one soon. Even more than the release of this new console, I am looking forward to see how Microsoft will react to something that could dethrone X Box 2 as the most sophisticated gaming system. I have also heard rumors that Halo 3 will be launched for X Box 2 around the time of Sony’s release. X Box 2 can only sit atop the gaming industry for so long. The continue shift in power in this industry will continue to be both interesting to watch from a business perspective, and exciting as a video game fan.
